21 - 22 May 2011 - Smallholders Show

A small scale show aimed at those who wish to or live the 'smallholding dream'.  Usually a lovely show which atracts about 30,000 visitors, and has a mobile farm unit for children.

26 May - 05 June 2011 - Hay Festival

The world famous literature festival sponsored by the Guardian.  With plenty of guest speakers and events going on over the week, there will be plenty to inspire everybody.  Book early if you want to see any of the speakers though, as the big names sell out quickly.

18 - 21 July 2011 - Royal Welsh Show

The largest agricultural show in Britain.  Go to pick up some bargains, or some unusual pieces.  All sorts of stands feature, from clothes, jewellery, to the wildlife trusts, cabinet makers (inclding yours truly) and all things agricultural.  An interesting day out for the family.

06 August 2011 - Brecon Show

The local town show, with trade stands, competitons and local show stands.  An enjoyable afternoon out.

12 - 14 August 2011 - Brecon Jazz Festival

 

Another lively, buzzing atmosphere in this usually sleepy town in the Brecon Beacons.  Well worth a visit, and see if you can catch some of the free events going on over the weekend on the streets.   

19 - 21 August 2011 - Green Man Festival

With great bands including the Doves, Tindersticks, Billy Brag and Mumford and Sons, this festival is one worth visiting.

27 - 28 August 2011 - Talgarth Festival of the Black Mountains

This country festival is full of surprises, and much bigger than you would expect. From culinary delights, to kiddies play areas and fair rides, and country stalls, this is a lovely afternoon out in a pretty local town with free entry.

29 August 2011 - Felinfach and District Show

Our local village show where we both will be stewarding.  See if Annabelle has won any prizes in the cookery and crafts section! 

28 - 29 November 2011 - Winter Fair

A smaller scale of the Royal Welsh show, worth a visit if you are interested in all matters agricutural.
